Dear Good People,

Greetings to you from The Saltwater Institute. The purpose of this website is to pass on to you what we offer and what we have learned and gained from our involvement with The Seven Intentions® of Values-Centered Leadership program. We believe that stories of personal experience by graduates of our workshops best convey what you may derive from a relationship with the Institute.

All of my life I have been interested in the accountability of the corporation – to society, the individual, and the environment. I have learned that the values that engage us in life make the difference in the character of the enterprise, and we are the agents of those values. In my experience, having a set of values and knowing how to manage for growth and performance with them can be very challenging. To employ the values in daily decisions requires intention, integration, and experience. We help leaders learn to implement their values in workday decisions and behavior.

I have also discovered that values-centered leadership has two primary benefits. First, there is personal growth from the fulfillment of responsible behavior, and second, personal performance is enhanced by a broader application of values in decisions. Thus, both the individual and the enterprise are rewarded.
